RE: MAINTAINING PEACE AT KWA-VONZA MARKET
I wish to inform you that the University Management is fully informed of the unfortunate incident that happened yesterday evening at Kwa-Vonza market involving one of our students.
I write to assure the student community and indeed the entire university fraternity that investigations are being carried out and those involved will face the full force of the law.
We have also received reports that some students are creating disturbances and insecurity at Kwa Vonza market by blocking the Kitui-Machakos road among other illegal activities.
I wish to urge our dear students to desist from getting involved in any unruly behaviour and maintain peace, remain calm and allow the police to carry out investigations and take appropriate action to all those that were involved in that ugly incident.
Finally, I wish to remind our students that University rules and regulations prohibits unruly behaviour.
