A cross-section of Kitui County Assembly Members are secretly hatching an elaborate plan aimed at to impeaching the Speaker Hon George Mutua Ndotto, sources privy to the plan told COUNTY DIARY.
The sustained and strident calls to impeach the Speaker emanate from allegedly a glaring error or omission.
“In a term of events, the speaker extended the assembly calendar in consultation with house leadership, but a section of the county has vowed to discipline the speaker for not involving them,” our source said.
According to the MCA who spoke to us on the condition of anonymity, the mole revealed there are cross-sections of Kitui leaders who want the Speaker out.
“Three groups within the assembly, one group led a Mwingi Sub-County MCA to want, also the majority leader removed from his position” added the source.
Meanwhile, another team is also fighting to have the Deputy Speaker Honn Kasee Musya removed from the pedestal for personal reasons.
The new political developments comes a few months after the Assembly and executive forged a Working Unity within the two arms of the government, the Big question is who is behind the scheme?
According to the speaker, ‘there was no reason not to prolong the calendar of the assembly because the house is idle’ the sentiments which were dismissed by MCAs.
