Savana CBO Holds Economic impact workshop on COVID19

Kitui’s based SAVANA CBO on Thursday together with partners held one day workshop on the economic impact of Covid19 for women and other marginalised groups from kitui county.

Among key speakers include, Kitui savana CEO Madam Phoebe Muasi, kitui Caritas, youth fund official and uwezo funds.

The ever-growing CBO started in 2017 and it has grown to be a formidable outfit championing for the rights of girl children in kitui county.

It has offices in kitui central and kitui west with elaborate plans to expand its territory.

The CBO has been giving back to the community, including donating sanitary pads for various high school girls.

Training self-help groups, and helping in advocacy for the rights of the women in kitui county.

Speaking during the workshop, madam phoebe said they intent to cover the whole county in the coming days in matters advocacy against gender violence and empowering marginalised groups in the society.
