KIVOU WARD: Local football heroes Sinai FC yesterday emerged champions of the just concluded Sammy Cup finals held at Kalange in Lower Kivou Ward, Mwingi Sub-County yesterday.
Sinai FC emerged the overall victors after thrashing Black Chester FC 1:0 during a hotly contested grand finale match, Thokoa FM reported on Monday.

Announcing that Sammy Cup will be an annual sporting event that will seek to nurture youth talents while giving them opportunities to secure their future and livelihoods, politician Hon. Sammy Munyithya decreed that all participating team will reap prizes from his Development Kitty.

“I have been in involved in all spheres and cohorts of development in KIVOU WARD – not mentioning schools upgrades, churches support, women empowerment and free medical clinics for my people.
I have therefore decided to factor youths as an important cohort in my development kitty for Kivou Ward” said Eng. Sammy Musili Munyithya speaking to COUNTY DIARY.

Sammy Cup heats were held in every village both in Upper and Lower Kivou WARD to ensure that every talent was scouted and indentified.

Sinai FC : Trophy, Footballs, Uniforms and Ksh 20,000
Black Chester FC: Footballs, Uniforms and Ksh 15,000
3rd Runners Up: Footballs, Uniforms and Ksh 10,000
4th Runners Up: Footballs, Uniforms and Ksh 5,000
