Rumba Star Matee Festo laid to rest in Kitui central


The Cerebrated Kamba Rumba Maestro Matee Festo, Muema Brothers band leader Who sang STELA was laid to rest at his farm In Kitui Central.

The late Administration Police Officer was the Utawala jazz Band Leader for three decades.

Matee Festo, a retired AP officer who co-founded AP Utawala Band and Muema brothers was over the weekend buried at his Ithookwe village home, Kitui Central, Kitui county after losing battle to cancer. The music legend behind the Stella hit song had a music career of 48 years.

Matee Festo was awarded the Head of State Commendation on Mashujaa day 2019. He retired from the police force in the rank of a Senior Superintendent.
