Businessman Nicholas Muema Mutemi allias Rollon also known as the people’s MCA and who lost Kisasi’s 2017 MCA race with less than 47 votes is set to give another stab at the kisasi MCA seat in August 2022 polls.
Rollon, as he is popularly known is expected to give the current MCA Hon. Emeritas Kasee a run for his money, the County Diary has learnt.
In the last general election, Mr Mutemi led in 23 out of 28 polling stations of Kisasi ward but didn’t contest the controversial results that pundits believe were rigged in Kisasi in favor of their area candidate Kasee Musya who had lost in 2013 MP elections in Kitui Rural.
The two great sons of Kisasi are back to the contest again with the incumbent facing mass protest from voters who say he has failed to deliver election promises, lacks a political stand and cannot take any advice matters the ward’s development agenda.
Mr. Musya’s critics accuse him of neglecting the electorate and pitching tent in Kitui town missing out in many community development events and forums when needed at the grassroots.
The current rating indicates a very tough contest ahead citing multiple opinion polls rating the two neck to neck as the elections beckon.
