A childish and immature person only knows freedom by negation, by saying no. By saying no, they assert their freedom, even when saying yes would have been to their greater good.

The mature person is the one who has gone beyond a “no” defined identity. They can say yes without losing their sense of freedom and identity.

Haven’t you seen how most people are simply rebellious for no reason? Somebody feels that by giving in, by sayong a simple yes, they will be annihilated! Thats why relationships between unfree people only breed more bondage, since each wants to exercise power over the other and nobody wants to compromise.
