The residents who were affected by the construction of Kibwezi Mutomo, kitui, Mbondoni, Migwani road have accused the state of delayed compensation of their lands.
The team led by their chairman Mr Joseph Wambua on Tuesday led a peaceful demonstration to the office of Kitui County commissioner.
Addressing them, kitui central assistant county commissioner Madam Josephine Kihara on behalf of the County Commissioner assured them that the government is fast-tracking their payments for those who have not received their payments.
She further, urged them to hold their horse as government finalize their Payments.
The demonstrators blamed section of Kitui elected leaders of abandoning them during the hour of needy.
