Hundreds of residents in Mwingi North and adjoining areas today benefited from free face masks courtesy of the Senior Chief Musyoka Muthisya Foundation (SCMMF), a benevolent community-based organization, local media reported.
Addressing the Press while distributing the masks in Tharaka Ward, SCMMF Founder and Trustee Justus Mutai Musyoka, popularly known as KYETHO stated the following;
“Our 5 Pillars of development include partnering with like-minded partners including the Government of Kenya not only in times of crisis but also in education, youth and women empowerment and preserving African culture.
Today through the benevolence of SCMM Foundation, we have handed to Tharaka residents more than a thousand masks.
These will go along way in curbing the spread of Coronavirus” said KYETHO.
Adding that the Government resources are already stretched by the Coronavirus effects, KYETHO explained that;
The Senior Chief Musyoka Muthisya Foundation clarion call is to Empower People while Transforming their lives..
“Our benevolent CBO is not only augementing Government efforts to curb the spread of Coronavirus but providing IEC materials to educate our people on the pandemic.
This noble duty not only calls for fundraising efforts but support from partners and the community” he said speaking to the COUNTY DIARY.
KYETHO’s recent sustained development forays in the marginalized Mwingi North is quickly turning him into an iconic tower of hope for defranchised residents — as Coronavirus pandemic runs roughshod across the world.
“With Kyetho it does not rain, it pours” said Mutua Muisyo, a beneficiary describing KYETHOs recent cash tokens to football clubs Kyuso FC, NYS Mutanda Band, women groups and his quest to preserve African Culture.
