Residents of Kyamboo in Migwani Ward of Mwingi West Sub-County are now enjoying free medical treatment services after Governor Ngilu opened a Dispensary there, the facility which is fully stocked with all types of medicine and a newly posted Nurse Incharge M/s Damaris Ndumbu has already started offering services to People within that locality. The Residents through their Chairman were very thankful to our able Governor saying that the facility will benefit many people within that locality.
In a statement delivered by Kitui County Executive for Tourism, Sports and Culture Hon Patrick Koki Musau, the Governor told them that she is going to fund the remaining unfinished projects by having it fenced as well as being supplied with water tanks, she further told them that the facility is going to be upgraded to an healthy Centre status once it’s been gazzeted.
Chief Officer for Health and Sanitation Dr Richard Mukula Muthoka told the area Residents that H.E Hon Gevernor Charity Ngilu found only 180 health facilities out of 290 being operational and she has directed that in line of her manifesto pillar number 2 of provision of good sound health care, all healthy facilities should be operationalized fully noting that the Governor has opened 120 new facilities which had been closed and employed 600 health officers, he further noted that all the eight Sub-County healthy facilities are being equipped with theatre machines Migwani being one of it, he further told them that our Governor had procured 10 Ambulances and 1 of it was going to be attached to Migwani Sub-County Hospital to offer services within the Sub-County.
Kitui County CECM for Tourism, had been accompanied by Chief Officer for Health and Sanitation Dr Richard Mukula Muthoka, Communications Advisor, Office of the Governor M/s Fatuma Ngesa, Director County Ministry of Trade Investments and Co-Operetives Mr Mwini Mwaniki, Mwingi West Sub-County Administrator Mrs Joyce Mwendwa, Mwingi West Sub-County Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Waihenya among others.
From Kyamboo Dispensary, the County team proceeded to Kisovo Community Dispensary for a similar event.
