The former Prime Minister Rt hon Raila Odinga on Friday 12th November 2022 held Azimio la Umoja rally in Makueni County.
Speakers after speakers lauded Raila Odinga for his elaborate plans to unite the country through his azimio la Umoja initiative .
The meeting started off well with Machakos County Government Chief of Staff Advocate Mwengi Mutuse who was the MC saying,
“we are negotiating for the sake of 5 millions Kamba Nation, not individual position as it has been before!
That’s why we are backing Raila Odinga for President in 2022”. His statement dealt a big blow to his boss Governor Dr Alfred Mutua who has also threatened to run for the president in 2022.
The rally was attended by Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu, Makueni Governor Prof Kivutha Kibwana, Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua and other grassroots leaders.
The Azilao La Umoja rally was held at Makueni Gunneries.
