A Petition was on wednesday presented by Hon. Bernadette Mutisya on the floor of the Assembly,on behalf of the residents of Malili town,regarding the grabbing of public utility plots in Malili town in Kiima Kiu/ Kalanzoni Ward.
The petitioners prayer to the County Assembly is to intervene to, among others,have the Executive Committee Member for Lands, Mining ,Physical and Urban Development restore original approved subdivision map of Malili town dated 18th July,2018; ensure recovery,demarcation and protection of the original public utility and urge the DCI and EACC to investigate for prosecution, any company and/or government official who may be found culpable for the loss of the public land.
The Petition has been committed to Assembly committee on Lands, Mining ,Physical and Urban Development to investigate and report back to the Assembly within 60 days.
