Public Participation Training Enters Homestretch as Exercise Moves to Social Audit Session

The ongoing public participation training in Mwingi West is set for close this week as the participants moves to social audit session.

“The series of workshops and trainings, sponsored by Ford Foundation in tandem with the County Government of Kitui is meant to equip the county officials with capacity building skills on existing legal and policy framework for inclusion of women,youth and persons living with Disabilities (PLWD)” Mwingi West Sub-county administrator Madam Joyce Mwendwa said yesterday while
addressing the participants during the workshop.

The Social Auditing workshop that is taking place at Kuul Breeze in Migwani Town has attracted over 200 participants.

Amongst the key facilitators include Mr Erustus CBEF, the Youth Representative and County Projects Coordinator who is also County Director Public Participation, Civic Engagement Mr Peter Mutemi and Mwingi West Sub-County Administrator Madam Joyce Mwendwa.

The training will take three days and afterward the trainees will conduct a social audit on the projects done in various 25 wards across the county.
