Proper Spatial Planning Key in Realizing Housing Agenda – Ngilu to the National Govt

Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has called on the National Government to adopt a well thought spatial plan ahead of the housing flagship project of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Speaking as a panelist during the second Urban Dialogue Conference dubbed Delivering on the Affordable Housing Agenda – held in Nairobi and sponsored by the world bank – Ngilu stressed the need to have a plan, policy and law, governing the construction of the strategic units.

“It would be prudent to involve residents living in the areas affected by offering job opportunities to them. This will promote a sense of ownership in the projects”. Kitui county boss said.
