PROF. KALOKI – EDUCATION AND CAREER.
Prof Philip Kyalo Kaloki EBS is a renowned leading expert in governance, leadership and Strategic Management from Kibwezi East in Makueni County.
He attended Molemuni Primary School in Kibwezi East before proceeding to Kilungu Day High School for his secondary education and proceeded to the University of Mary Harding Baylor Texas where he graduated with a Bachelor in Finance and Economics. He jetted back in the Country where he later graduated with a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Nairobi.
Prof Kaloki (EBS) began his political career in 2007 when he was elected as a Member of Parliament for the Kibwezi Constituency. He served in different Parliamentary Committees which include the Departmental Committee on Finance, Planning and Trade, the Speakers Committee and the procedure and House Rules Committee.
During his tenure as Mp for Kibwezi, He steered various development projects through the NG-CDF and resource mobilization programmes from international development facilitators. He is widely acclaimed for initiating 52 Secondary schools, Health Centres and various water projects in the region.
Prof Kaloki was later appointed as the KMTC Board chairperson by H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2013. Since his appointment 48 KMTC colleges have been established across the country bringing the total number of KMTC colleges in Kenya to 71.
In 2019 He was awarded the National award of The Elder of the Burning Spear EBS by H.E Uhuru Kenyatta.
He is also being recognized to have served as patron to the Turner Foundation, Beacon international (USA), Dallas Baptist University and an Associate Professor of Dallas Baptist University.
