Distinguished University don – Professor Geoffrey Muluvi of the South Eastern Kenya University (Seku) who is also the vice chancellor has been awarded the prestigious presidential award.
In a gazette notice seen by TCD, Prof. Muluvi is among individuals awarded by President Uhuru kenyatta with the Moran of the Oder of Burning Spear (MBS) award.
Muluvi is a prolific academic giant whose professional leadership at SEKU University has seen it grow from a nondescript university college to a behemoth of research and excellence.
According to Research Gate, Geoffrey M Muluvi’s 30 research works with 739 citations and 4721 reads, including: Distribution of indigenous strains of atoxigenic, making him one of the best contributors to the global scientific research.
His disciplined public resources management skills saw SEKU receive Sh150 million from the national government last year.
