The president made changes during his state of the nation address in mombasa, the mini reshuffles has seen tangatanga battalion sympathisers sacked from the Cabinet:
President nominates Mutahi Kagwe for Health
CS National Treasury: Ukur Yattani
CS Defense: Monica Juma
CS Agriculture: Peter Munya
CS Foreign Affairs: Raychelle Omamo
CS Labour: Simon Chelugui
CS for Sports : Joe Okudo.
President Kenyatta also said In 2018, Kenya exported 476 million Kilograms of tea earning us a total of Sh140bn. Sri Lanka on the other hand exported 288 million kilograms, earning them an equivalent of about Sh150 billion. We must add value to our tea.
President Kenyatta has stopped implementation of new NHIF packages to allow for further consultations.
He has directed the Ministry of Health to immediately suspend the new recommendations in the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) that had left Kenyans in shock.
President also has directed the Central Bank of Kenya to use regulatory powers and tools at its disposal to protect lenders from predatory lending by local banks, he further directed NIS to review all cartel groupings operating in the public system of budgeting, procurement, regulation and illegal rigging of markets.
