Kitui South MP Dr. Racheal Nyamai has announced that President William Ruto will tour the Ukambani region beginning next week as part of the government’s development outreach in the Lower Eastern counties.
Speaking after a meeting with Kenya Kwanza MPs and government officials from Machakos, Makueni, and Kitui Counties, Dr. Nyamai said the leaders met the President on Friday to plan the upcoming visit, which will cover several constituencies across the region.
According to the schedule, the President is expected to visit the region on Wednesday 15th, Friday 17th, Monday 20th (Mashujaa Day), Tuesday 21st, and Wednesday 22nd October 2025, where he will launch a series of government projects.
In Kitui South, President Ruto will tour Ikutha Town on Friday, October 17th, to inspect and commission key development projects.
Dr. Nyamai urged residents to turn out in large numbers to welcome the Head of State, noting that the visit will focus on addressing critical issues such as roads, electricity, affordable housing, and market infrastructure.
“Ukambani must catch up with other counties. This visit will mark a new phase of development for our people,” Dr. Nyamai said.
