Revolution is Coming to universities ~ says Seku Vice Chancellor
Professor Muluvi is the vice-chancellor of South Eastern Kenya University, he a is refined scholar and academician in kenya.
Kenya ranks No. 2 in Sub Saharan Africa, slightly behind South Africa, in terms of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
We stand on the brink of a fourth technological revolution and Kenya stands a better chance to leverage her ICT capability to benefit from this 4th industrial revolution. Just to refresh your mind, the First Industrial Revolution used water and steam power to mechanize production.
The Second used electric power to create mass production. The Third used electronics and information technology to automate production.
The Fourth Industrial Revolution is building on the Third and is the digital revolution. It is going to dramatically change the way we operate, relate and do business.
Africa was left behind in the last three revolutions and we hope it will not be left behind in the 4th digital revolution.
