Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Nganga Mutua has told critics to prepare for real battle come 2022. I am still in the race to be the fifth president of the Republic of Kenya. It is time for real change,” the Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader has said.

Governor Mutua who is serving his second term in Machakos said he will push for the interests of all Kenyans, fight poverty, tribalism, and corruption, The Governor who is known as Master for PR, commended the founding President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, retired president Daniel Arap Moi, Mwai Kibaki, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta for spearheading the country’s democracy in the face of serious challenges.
Machakos Governor is among the top politicians who among them have declared their interests in succeeding the President Kenyatta who is set to retire
Mutua has ruled out shelving his bid for Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka or anyone.
