Isiolo police have arrested a teacher for being allegedly defiling and impregnating a 17 year-old girl, who is a class seven girl at Reap Primary in Oldonyiro, Isiolo North.
Confirming the incident via the phone, Isiolo County Police Commander Jeseph Kigen has said that the Lobarishereki primary School teacher is being processed to be arraigned in Court tomorrow.
The suspect has been brought to Isiolo police station by Oldonyiro OCS.
Earlier, today Isiolo parent association chairman Ismael Galma had called for the immediate arrest of the teacher,Galma attested that such incidences have been common in Isiolo and concealed through corruption.
The pregnant girl reported the matter at Oldonyiro Police station and obtained a OB number,This was almost being concealed until the parents association chairman Ismael Galma spilled the means after knowing about the matter after they visited the area for other education matters.
