Meet Hon. Paul Ngula Kitungu, a Kitui son with wide experience in Diplomacy, politics and administration seeking to unseat the incumbent Speaker George Ndotto who besides serving two terms on the seat, has been an Administrator, MP, Government minister and KANU chairman during the one party regime in Kenya.
Hon. Paul Kitungu is touted to be the candidate to watch in the race for the Speaker’s position for the County Assembly of Kitui.
Kitungu, a very simple, socialite and down-to-earth person, is a Political Scientist with a huge wealth of experience in administration, democracy and governance that gives him a clear advantage over the other candidates. This is the right blend of expertise needed to take the County Assembly of Kitui to the next level.
Paul Kitungu was born and brought up in Kalisasi in Mwingi Central Sub-county, Kitui County.
He is an alumni of Kalisasi Primary School (Where he is the current Chairman of the Alumni) and also an alumni of St. Charles Lwanga School -Kitui, and The University of Nairobi where he studied his Bachelors degree in Political Science and Public Administration and a Masters degree in International Relations. He holds a Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) and Work Ethics and Customer Service from the Kenya Institute of Administration (KIA).
Kitungu has over 23 years of experience working with the Government of Kenya, the UN and the US Government at the Management, Program and Policy levels. He has earned himself many awards for distinguished service over the years.
Hon. Kitungu is not new to politics. He has actively been involved in politics right from students politics in SONU, National and County politics. In 1997 General election campaigns, he joined the youth Wing for Hon. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka in Mwingi North and has remained actively involved in strategy teams for candidates seeking different political positions to present.
Paul is a staunch Christian and happily married with 3 children.
