Papa wa Roma has advised Bishops to Meet Ex President uhuru Kenyatta and have a candid talk with him before going to the state house to meet with President ruto.
The Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula has implored upon the religious leaders to meet and talk to the former President Uhuru Kenyatta, before meeting President William Ruto in the State House.
Speaking in West Pokot County on Sunday after he accompanied President Ruto for a thanksgiving service, Wetangula said the former President was downgrading himself by being active in politics for more than seven months since he handed over the instruments of power.

“Bishops, before you go to the State House to pray with President Ruto, kindly look for the retired President Uhuru Kenyatta, sit down with him, pray and tell him how to live like a retired statesman. That when you retire, you stop thinking about nostalgia, you stop looking at what it was. You did your work for ten years.”
“Remind him that the law says when a president retires, they have only six months in active politics or hold any position in a political party, after which they are required to go home and enjoy their pension peacefully. That is what Late Daniel Moi, and Late Mwai Kibaki did,” said Wetangula.
