One Arrested After Escaping From Quarantine Centre

Police in Kericho have arrested a man who is said to have escape while under quarantine station in Nairobi.

Confirming the incident ,Bureti OCPD Felisha Nafula said the police in Kapkatet Police station recieved an information that their were two male persons who escaped while under quarantine.

“The matter was reported at Kapkatet Police station at 11:00 AM on Thursday that there were two men who had escape from quarantine at Kenya Medical training college (KMTC) Nairobi where we trace up the persons”,Nafula said.

The subcounty boss said together with the team of doctors from emergency unit at Kapkatet Sub County Hospital,after making way to Tabaita village in Tiriiitabmoita Location they manage to found a 22 year old Nelson Kiplangat at his house.

The police said they arrested the culprit and has been re-quarantine at Kapkatet Medical Training collage .

The police reports indicated that Sub County criminal investigation team have launched investigation to trace Franklin Korir a culprit who is said to have escaped from the same area.

The police urged the residents to be vigilant and to report any suspecious information that may be encountered regarding the covid-19 pandemic spread.
