Nyamira county assembly speaker Moffat Teya has dismissed the court order given out by Kisumu High Court on reinstatement of Duke Omoti also Kiabonyoru ward Mca as deputy speaker saying that the order has been overtaken by events.
According to Teya, the order was supposed to be presented within 14 days when he was impeached by the MCAs two months ago.
Yesterday, Kisumu law court justice Mathews Ndumba gave out orders regarding the case before him filed by Omoti on 31/8/2018.
The court had ordered that the 1st respondent who is Nyamira county assembly speaker Moffat Teya and the 2nd respondent, Nyamira county government not to interfere with the duties of Omoti as the deputy speaker pending the hearing of the case sheduled on 24/10/2018.
Immediately after Omoti was impeached, Bonyamatuta ward MCA Robinson Mocheche was voted in by the MCAs as their new deputy speaker.
