No More Salary Delays from September, Kitui County secretary Dr. Chepcheing Assures Workers

The County Government of kitui employees will no longer experience salary delay starting this September, The New County Secretary Dr. Joshua Chepchieng has said.

The County Secretary has directed all chiefs Officers to liaise with Human Resources department to make sure the payroll is ready for the workers to have their monthly payments before 29 of every month -Dr. Chepchieng’ has said.

This is in an effort to solve delay of wages for workers in kitui going forward, Dr. Joshua Chepchieng mumbled when he hosted Kenya County Government Workers Union officials and a section of employees at his office in Kitui Town.

Dr. Joshua revealed that the County Executive has so laid down a structured policy with finance officers and agreed on a long-lasting solution of remitting employees salaries either on 27th or latest 29th of every month starting with September, 2019.

The county governments have for the last three month undergone very serious monetary crisis following the standoff between the national assembly and the senate, over the Revenue division bill 2019, The deadlock has so far been unlocked, counties across the country are expected to have smooth running in the next few weeks.

The new sheriff in town has continued to win banquets of praise from the workers union officials on the matter in which he has been handling of the crisis in kitui, with Workers Union chairman Mr. Stephen Kitheka saying kitui might be fortuitous having the administrator and called for the assembly not to hamper the new county secretary.
