The Chief Officer in charge of Kitui Trade, Co-operative and Investment Mr CPA Fernandes Mbindu Muli was among the prominent Professionals who attended the ICPAK Workshop in Mombasa.
Mr Mbindu is a decorated CPA holder who Ranks among the equals in Kenya, Before joining the county government of kitui, Mbindu was working in Angola, Malawi, South Africa ,Dubai and Rwanda as County Finance Manager based in Luanda Angola in Manufacturing and value chain organisation for 15 years .
Several professional accountants across the country attended their forum which comes annually, the TCD Reports.
The Interior Cabinet secretary Dr fred Matiang’I inaugurated the 39th annual seminar of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) in Mombasa.
Mr Robert sivi who works with the county government Of Kitui is the current representative of ICPAK in Kitui also attended the forum .
Speaking in the forum, Dr Fred Matiangi said, “I look forward to the day when ICPAK will buy space in newspapers to list members it has removed from its records on account of corruption…when is ICPAK going to join the fight against corruption?
We all have a role to play in the war against corruption. Each one of us must stand up to Preserve, Protect and promote Prudent management of public resources”
The Interior CA told Accountants they should be in the front line to stop corruption in Kenya.
