On Thursday 15th July 2021- kitui Governor charity Ngilu was at Nzambani, kwa Sivi Bore hole, in Kitui east.
Governor Charity Ngilu has continued to fulfil her mandate in line with her 5 pilar manifesto.
With water featuring 2nd in her manifesto, Governor Charity Ngilu inspected the newly sunk Kwa-sivi borehole in nzambani ward, Kitui County.
With a remarkable yield of over 80 Cubic fresh water the borehole will serve a major role to residents in not only Nzambani ward but also the neighbouring wards.
Speaking shortly after the inspection tour, Governor Ngilu expressed her optism to a brighter Kitui in as much as water issues are concerned.
“I am not only happy, but also elated and hopeful that with such kind of water resources, residents will now enjoy clean, fresh and easily available water.” She said.
Accompanied by Nzambani MCA, Hon. Ruth Kyeene and water and irrigation chief officer, Mr. Kioko Kiilu, Governor Ngilu revealed that plans were underway to ensure this water source was properly utilized.
“Now, we have to set up a proper tank in a strategic place, and put proper reticulation plans to have this water utilized as furthest as possibly can.” She explained.
