Ngilu,Equity Group CEO Commissions world bank 735 Kitui scholars

KITUI Governor Hon Charity Ngilu and Equity Group CEO Dr. James Mwangi have today on 4th January 2020 commissioned 735 Kitui learners who are sponsored by world bank program, The COUNTY DIARY reports

The program is sponsored World bank and administered by equity bank group together with county government of kitui.

The program known as Elimu programme will benefit over 735 learners who are joining Secondary Schools on next week.

While addressing learners during the event held at Kitui School, Kitui Central sub county today, Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu said the sponsorship programmes continue to impact many lives of needy learners in the country.
She said supporting education is a key gesture of transforming the world and challenged learners to grab the opportunity and improve their lives.

” Go and conquer the world, we must all wake up and work hard to transform the world”.She said.

Governor Ngilu further said the county Government had set aside 140 million shillings to support needy learners across the County.

Equity Group CEO Mr. James Mwangi urged the learners to work hard to realize their dreams and impact the world.

Dr. Mwangi encouraged the beneficiaries to overcome their past by embracing the opportunity at hand to grow their potential.

He thanked the group’s board members and the various stalkeholders for ensuring that the selection process was free and fair.

The 735 learners commissioned today are set to join various Secondary schools amid schools openings next week.
