Ngilu Visits Ongoing Establishment of Kitui Dairy Processing Plant



The only sure bet for any Government is to create enabling environment for her citizen to venture into the Manufacturing sector instead of being a lazy consumer – Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has said.

On Monday, 12th April 2021- Kitui Governor Charity Kaluki Ngilu Visited the County Dairy Processing plant at ATC ground. The Ongoing establishment of a Dairy processing plant will be of great help to kitui dairy farmers.

The plant will have farmers benefit from the escalated value addition of their produce.

The factory is expected to produce enough Milk products for

kitui residents and our neighboring counties according to raw data seen by this media.

Among the products to be produced will be Yogurt, Fermented Mala, ice creams, and all other milk-related products right from Kitui county.

The Governor was accompanied by Minister of apiculture Emanuel Kisangau and the Chief Officer in the Ministry of Agriculture, Eng Songolo.

While Inspecting the ongoing establishment of the Plant, Ngilu ordered officers to move with speed.

The Governor is keen to make kitui County a model county in the manufacturing sector, the COUNTY DIARY reports.

The future of Kitui under the Ministry of Agriculture is pregnant and farmers have something to smile, says CO Songolo.

The project is in the Pilot stage and it will move to all sub-counties, Ngilu has said.
