Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has been lauded Through a well coordinated effort by the county ministry of tourism headed by hardworking minister Patrick Koki Musau, in conjunction with KWS game wadens, the rogue killer buffalo was finally brought down on Friday.
The beast that killed a woman in Nuu and injured others at Endau / Mutito was cornered at Nyanyaa and gunned down by KWS rangers.
It was a spectacle to behold as locals carted away chunks of meat while the KWS officers decapitated the beast’s head and took it to Mutomo game reserve.
“The sad chapter has ended. The animal caused our people injuries and sleepless nights but now it is no more. This could not have been achieved without joint efforts from my office and the KWS” Musau said.
The minister reiterated Governor Ngilu’s commitment to make Kitui a safe and friendly county worthy investing in and a tourism hub.
“our commitment is to ensure wildlife stay in their habitat without disturbing the populace” Koki noted.
