The Resident of Katse sub location, Mumoni ward in the slopes of Mwingi North on Saturday gathered in solidarity to give the late Rose Nduni Mwangangi a worthy send-off solemn.
The road to the homestead was rocky and adventurous, the car carrying the casket could not reach the area because of the poor road network, the casket was carried by locals to the homestead.
The County Government of kitui has embarked on road grading exercise ln every ward where 50 kilometres will be graded across the county.
The late Nguni Mwangangi died of long illness while undergoing treatment at Mwingi level 4 hospital, The Message of Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu was delivered by Mwingi North businessman and Signal hotel executive director Mr.Peter Mutemi alias, Musandi kutheuka. Who was represented the Governor HE Charity Ngilu at the burial ceremony.
The residents described the husband of the late Ndungu Mwangangi as a true father who stood with his wife to the last minute. Kitui Governor has said her office has so far catered school fees of the two students who are still in school, the businessman alias Musandi kutheuka also gave the family solar panels to lit the household.
Mr Peter called Upon the resident of Mumoni ward to continue supporting the Governor and urged the county assembly to fast track the necessary legislation that will make sure kitui residents get the service delivery instead of engaging on a witch hunt and political scores.
In attendance was Mwingi North constituency coordinator Mr Peter lukuye, among other local residents from the areas and beyond.
