On Friday, 28th August 2020, Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu joined friends and family of Mr William Mumo Kimonyi, a renowned businessman in Kitui town, in mourning his son, Alex Mwengi Mumo who passed on after a short illness in Mombasa.
Speaking during the sending-off ceremony held in Kyanika primary School, Kitui, Governor Ngilu asked the family, including the late Alex’s widow to keep their head up during these trying moments
Further, Governor Ngilu reiterated her commitment to enhancing and enriching the lives of the great people of Kitui.
“….many might be trying otherwise, but my personal conviction and agenda are to improve, empower and enrich the people of Kitui. That’s my main agenda.” Governor Ngilu reiterated.
Furthermore, Governor Ngilu called upon Kitui residents to keep adhering to the Ministry of Health regulations towards fighting against the novel Corona Virus.
Governor Ngilu was accompanied by Leader of Government Business in the Kitui County Assembly and Miambani Member of Assembly, Hon. Alex Nganga, Nzambani Member of Assembly, Hon. Ruth Kyene, NARC nominated member of Assembly Charity Sammy, Health Chief Officer, Dr Richard Muthoka, Chief Officer Zakayo Kimanzi from the office of the Governor and a host of other community leaders.
