Her Excellency Governor Charity Ngilu on Thursday held a consultative meeting with officers from National Agricultural and Rural Inclusive Growth Project (NARIGP) which is funded by the world bank.

Under the NARIGP world bank has committed to support and improve the Honey value chain which the Governor is championing in the county.

The project will benefit areas previously dependant on production of commercial charcoal, and the county at large.

The county government banned burning of commercial charcoal due to its negative impact on environment.

They will also train farmers on modern bee keeping practices, support them with state of the art equipment for harvesting honey among other areas of partnership.
