Ngilu Meets Kyangwithya West Village Leaders as Kitui Politics Hots up

Governor Ngilu today met with Kyangwithya West village elders a day after she met their Zombe Mwitika counterparts, to sensitize the soon-to-be-launched upgrade from KCHIC to NHIF Cover.

The Cover seeks to curb the perennial fundraisers for medical expenses and increase the scope of access to medical services that Musangi can get access to.

The government plans to register all village elders in the insurance scheme. She also promised to have a sit down with the president, and push for them to be having a salary, for they serve a critical role in the society and they are not paid.

The arrangement, will have beneficiaries paying Ksh. 3000 and the county an additional Ksh. 3000 to guarantee a Ksh. 6000 annual subscription.
