Ngilu Lauds LSK Delegates for Electing Majority Women


Kitui Governor HE Charity Ngilu on Monday lauded the just concluded Law Society of Kenya election that saw thirteen council Seats go to women.

Through her official communique which was shared on social media, the Governor wrote, ” I am greatly encouraged by the outcome of LSK elections which saw women clinch 10 out of the 13 council seats”.

This is a commendable and good example by Kenya’s legal fraternity that we should all emulate, Ngilu added.As I congratulate all the candidates and the lawyers who participated in the elections, I take note that given equal platform, Kenyan women can compete and perform excellently.

I am convinced that the dream of equal opportunities for women in Kenya is alive, valid, and achievable, she addedEvery forward step we take in leadership especially where it has been male-dominated brings us closer to breaking the glass ceiling.
