Ngilu Initiates Process to Settle Kanyonyoo Squatters.

Governor Charity Ngilu has committed to end land ownership wrangles rocking Kanyonyoo area of Kitui Rural sub county.

Speaking when she met area locals near Kanyonyoo market yesterday, Governor Ngilu said her administration was aware of the encroachers attempting to evict them from the thousands acreage piece of land.

“I will constitute a technical team that will be tasked with identification of genuine land claimants to necessitate eventual allocation of plots and issuance of title deeds”.Said Governor Ngilu.

The residents accuse security apparatus in the area of colluding with the said encroachers to instigate grabbing of the community land.

The Governor’s announcement comes barely a week after violent clashes erupted between the locals and the land grabbers.
