Kitui Governor Hon Charity Ngilu has dismissed leaders claiming that the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report is about political positions.
Speaking at Kitui Stadium in Kitui county during the fourth BBI forum, the lower Eastern and National co chair Madam Ngilu said the document’s aim is to create an inclusive system of government which will represent the face of Kenya, The sentiment were echoed by the Presidential hopeful and wiper party leader Dr Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka.
Kalonzo said the country must deal with political violence and bloodshed every election cycle, saying it is only through a unified nation that the country can realise meaningful development, Musyoka said the fight against corruption is on top notch and people must carry their own cross.
Kalonzo urged the Government to deal squarely with locust epidemic in the country terming it a national Disaster.
The former VP, while lauding the county government of Kitui for Ngilu’s efforts in dealing with locust menace, Musyoka said he has been in constant talk with the Governor of Kitui and the National Minister of Agriculture Hon Munya on the matter.
The Wiper leader said;
“We don’t want a situation where only two people sit the President and his deputy are in power, we want to see a government that represents the face of Kenya,” he said,
Kalonzo asked Kenyan to support the President Uhuru Kenyatta in his fight against corruption and praised Senators for setting good examples at the senate.
