Ngilu declares UHC A Milestone In Kenya’s Health Sector

On Friday 30th, October 2020 – Kitui Governor Ngilu said there’s a need for key stakeholders in the country to act swiftly and actualize the Universal Healthcare (UHC) efforts.

In her address at the UHC high-level Summit in Mombasa, the Governor said Kitui’s Health insurance cover and the amenity ward among other initiatives are some of the steps indicating a commitment to realizing the President’s agenda on health.

She lauded the President’s boldness and commitment to pursue universal health coverage which she said will lead the country to thrive thanking President Kenyatta for leading the country in that direction.

According to Governor Ngilu, UHC will enable individuals, families, communities, businesses, and the nation to thrive and is key to growing the country as a whole.
