Kitui County Minister for Tourism, Sports and Culture Hon Patrick Koki Musau on Saturday condoled the family and friends of the late Abraham Muli Kasoa at Maliku village, Kisasi Ward Kitui Rural Sub-County.

The minister also joined mourners, friends and the family of the late Joseph Mwanzia Maingi at his farm in Matinyani Village, Kitui West Sub-County.

The County Minister for Tourism was representing ICONIC Kitui County Governor H.E Hon Charity Kaluki Ngilu who was hosting National cabinet secretary for Agriculture and Irrigation in Mwingi in regards to the roadmap to eradicate the invading locusts.

The Governor through a messag read by the Tourism Executive, eulogized the late Mzee Mwanzia Maingi as a person who possessed a great mind and leader who reclaimed Kitui Town from Asians when he become the Chairman of Kitui Town Chamber of commerce.

She further recognised the late Mzee Mwanzia Maingi as a person who valued education.

She recalled his gesture shown through the support of several Secondary Schools where he personally supported the institutions by donating his own money including sponsoring tudents studying in high learning Institutions as well as Churches within Matinyani region and beyond.

On his part the Tourism Executive Hon Patrick Musau told the Matinyani people that he is going to himbly request Governor Ngilu to have one of Kitui town roads be named after the late Mzee Joseph Mwanzia Maingi as way of according him respect and remain in our memories always.

Other key notable personalities present was the area MP Hon Vethi Nyenze, Kitui County Assembly Speaker Hon George Ndotto, the area MCA Hon Silvester Munyalo Kitheka a.k.a Yaamu, Former Nairobi City County Deputy Governor H.E Hon Jonathan Mueke, Safaricom Security Services Director Mr Nick Mulila, Kitui Renown Businessman Mr Denis Kavili Mbunza, wife of the former Attorney General Mrs Mathew Gai Muli, Wife’s of the former Ambassadors, several former Council Councillors among others.
