On the other Sunday 14th February, 2021- Governor Charity Ngilu has called upon Kitui Residents to support the Building Bridges initiative, BBI.
Speaking while addressing the congregation in AIC Kavuta, Mulango Ward, Kitui Central Sub-County, Governor Ngilu said upon adoption, BBI seeks to ensure more funds were remitted to the counties.
Further, Governor Ngilu reiterated that besides more cash to the county, BBI will boost more women in leadership while at the same time increase people’s representation courtesy of the additional positions the initiative seeks to bring along.
“BBI is the next big thing, my people,besides money, we will have more representatives than before.. that will benefit us more than history has benefited us.” Governor Ngilu said
Further, she called upon the residents to shy away from politicians whose interests were personalised.
“Be sure of these politicians walking around with large amounts of money, they don’t have anything in store for you…” Governor Ngilu reiterated.
She was accompanied by Mulango MCA, Nzamba Joseph, Kyangwithya West MCA Boniface Katumo and a host of other community leaders.
