Kitui Governor H.E Charity Ngilu on Saturday received the Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture, Fisheries and Livestock Development Hon Peter Munya at Kalatine Girls Secondary School Grounds in Mumoni Ward, Mwingi North Sub Country, the COUNTY DIARY Reports.
The CS reiterated the National Government Commitment in eradicating Locust in kitui county and neighbouring counties.
Mr Munya In the company of the Governor of Kitui addressed the public and assured them of the mechanism which the National Government has put in place, to eradicate the Swarms of desert locust which has been straddling in different areas in Mwingi North and Mwingi Central Counties.
Also present is the Deputy Governor Dr Wathe Nzau, CECM for Agriculture, Water and Livestock Development Emanuel Kisangau and C.O for Education Agnator Peter, among other senior officers in National and County Governments.
