
The approach to move and realign health officers in Kitui County as done by the County Ministry of Health & Sanitation is commendable.
The ministry has effected in good faith the postings of 220 health officers who include medical doctors, Clinical Officers, nurses, pharmacists, medical engineers, radiographers, dieticians among others to health facilities across the county.
County Diary wishes to congratulate the health officers for their gallant service to Kitui residents and particularly congratulate Dr Evans Mumo who has landed a new role as Mwingi North subcounty health services coordinator alongside two nurses who will also be in charge of sub counties.
Governor Malombe’s administration has shown thorough commitment to rejuvenate the health sector in order to offer quality and efficient healthcare services to the county residents.
Through a posting order number 1 of 2023 dated 7th July and signed by the three departmental Chief Officers (Dr Musyoka Benson for Medical Services, Dr Lynn Kitwan, for Public Health & Sanitation and Aggrey Kamba in charge of drugs and Medical Supplies), the officers are required to report to their new stations by 14th July and hand over by 21st July this year.
Dr Hellen Kathini Munyao, a gynaecologist obstetrician takes over as Medical Superintended at Mwingi Level IV and will be deputized by Dr Munyoki Kennedy Fundi.
Governor Malombe is earning praises from Kitui residents for moving with speed to give the county the lost glory through implementation of life changing projects both in the Health and water sector among others.
