National Liberal Party Leader Dr. Kyalo Muli Mourns the Passing of RAILA ODINGA

The National Liberal Party (NLP) leader Dr. August Kyalo Muli has joined Kenyans in mourning the death of former Prime Minister Raila Amollo Odinga, describing him as a “living spirit of Kenya’s struggle” and “a banner of courage for every soul that dared to believe in freedom.”

In a heartfelt press statement issued today, Dr. Muli said the nation stands “shaken to its core” by the loss of a man whose “character and courage the world cannot describe.” He hailed Raila Odinga as a true patriot who turned pain into purpose and inspired generations through his resilience and vision for a just and united Kenya.

“Baba Raila was not just a leader; he was the soul of our democracy — a man who faced betrayal, detention, and political storms, yet never once abandoned his dream of a fair and united Kenya,” Dr. Muli said.

He extended his condolences to Mama Ida Odinga and the Odinga family, assuring them of the nation’s solidarity during this difficult time. “Kenya stands with you, shoulder to shoulder, in this moment of sorrow,” he added.

Quoting the Bible, Dr. Muli reflected on Raila’s lifelong service: “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” He concluded with a moving tribute in Dholuo, honoring Raila as “a son of the soil, father of the nation, and servant of the people.”

“Fare thee well, Hon. Raila Amollo Odinga — your race is done, but your light will never dim,” Dr. Muli said.
