The National Cabinet Secretary Hon Najib Balala who is in charge of National tourism Ministry is expected in kitui county on Thursday, the CS will visit Tortoise farm in Kitui East constituency.
The CS is expected to be received by Governor Ngilu and the entire county team from the Ministry of Culture Top Officials, who will then visit Voo Tortoise Conservation Farm in Kitui sub county.
Kitui Tourism Sports and Culture Ministry on Tuesday led by Executive Member hon Patrick Koki Musau visited tortoise conservation farm in Kitui east ahead of national delegations visit for fact finding mission.
The county delegation also visited Kyaango Community Dispensary to check the state of the dispensary.
The Minister was accompanied by his County Officer Mr. Zakayo G Kimanzi, Deputy Director Tourism Mr. Hezron Mulatya, Assistant Director Ferdinand Kathenge

Voo Tortoise Conservation Farm is owned by a retired Assistant Chief Mr. Peter Maundu with an aim of fact-finding on tortoise grown in Kitui Country, The visit is in preparation of a tour of Tourism Cabinet Secretary Hon Najib Balala on Thursday.
Mr. Peter Maundu is currently conserving over 5,000 Tortoises comprised of 3 Species, the Pan-Cake [Malacochersus Tornieri], Leopard and Inch-park which are kept on a walled one and a half Acre of Land.
The Pan-Cake Species is only found on this Farm Worldwide. He usually exports the young small Pan-cake breed which is not longer than 1 centimeter to European markets mostly German.
Tortoise white meat has high medicinal value as well as increasing Libido in Men who are struggling to rise to the occasion,
“Alongside Tortoise Conservation, Mr. Peter Maundu is also doing a Miranda Irrigation program to Farm Water Melons on a 2 Acre Farm which is an initiative of our able Governor H.E Hon Charity Kaluki Ngilu.
Also present was Kitui East Sub-County Administrator Mr. George Munyoto and Ward Administrator Voo/Kyamatu Ward among other local leaders.
