The Narok County Senator Hon Ledama Ole Kina has lauded Governor Charity Ngilu for establishing Kitui County Textile Centre (KICOTEC), saying it is a factory of its own kind, which ultimately will lead to wealth creation and provide job opportunities for many youths in the County and beyond.
Ledama Olekina is a Kenyan politician who serves as the Senator for Narok County. Olekina was elected on an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket in the August 8, 2017, general elections in Kenya. He was born and raised in Oloombokishi, a small village near Narok, Kenya, on 11 November 1974.
The Legislature, accompanied by the Deputy Governor Dr. Wathe Nzau visited the factory and promised to place an order of uniform for the workers in his Company, Diary farm, and Radio Station.
Addressing the workers at the Textile Center, the Senator advised them to shun local politics to build their County and protect their job. He reiterated that, when power divides people, it is humility that brings them together.
The Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina recognizes and appreciates the incredibly transformation and postive impact that Governor Ngilu’s flagship project, KICOTEC has brought about.
Senator Ledama encouraged and challenged the young employees at KICOTEC to fight for the project and not to allow selfish politicians to destroy their (youth) future by politicizing such a noble development project.
He urged them to spread the good news about KICOTEC to their family and friends.
