Mosa, Kisasi Ward, Kitui Rural Sub-County, Kitui County The late Mzee Zakayo was laid to rest in his farm in Mosa, Kisasi sub county, the COUNTY DIARY Reports.
The Minister for Tourism, Sports and Culture who is also the Ag. County Minister for Environment and Natural Resources Hon Patrick Koki Musau joined, mourners friends and family members of the late Zakayo Kimanzi Mulu who was the father to Mr Godfrey Kimanzi Zakayo Chief Officer, Office the Governor.
The County Executive for Tourism and Environment was representing Kitui County Governor H.E Hon Charity Kaluki Ngilu.In a statement delivered by Tourism Executive.
The Governor eulogized Mzee Zakayo Kimanzi Mulu as a person of great humility and dedication to his family and community who highly invested on education and values of humility and service to his children and neighbourhood.
Mzee was also a devoted Christian who committed his life to Jesus Christ.
On his part, the County Executive for Tourism called upon the residents of Kisasi and Kitui County at large to continue observing Government measures of maintaining physical/social distances, washing hands, sanitizing as way of trying to combat COVID-19 pandemic.
He also asked Members of Kitui County Assembly to closely work with the Governor for the purpose of improving the livelihoods of Kitui County electorates.
Other key notable leaders present were the area MCA Hon Deputy Speaker Emeritus Kasee Musya, Kanyangi MCA Hon Andrew Lusa a.k.a King’auwi, Dr Makau Kalii Chief Officer Economic Planning who is also the Ag. C.O County Ministry of Trade, Investments and Co-Operatives.
Mr Geoffrey Changangu Chief Officer Education, Youth Development, representatives from the office of the area MP Hon Mwalika Boni and Kitui County Women MP Hon Dr Irene Kasalu, area Sub-County Administrator among others.
