The Kiroboko showdown seemed to have taken a twist yesterday as Kitui County Government insisted on hosting the sand stakeholders at it’s offices, local media said.
But even as the Minister for Tourism and Sports Hon. Koki Musau, who doubles as the Minister for Environment and Natural Resources smarted from the twist, Mwingi West MP Charles Nguna vowed to stay put.
“We will not relent in our sustainable fight to ensure that impact assessment is done and our people are properly compensated.
We need more and better roads from our natural resources. The natural resources must benefit the people of Mwingi West.
We will not allow the Kitui County Government to exploit resources by using sand cartels led by the so-called Kuvasila” said the profilic Wiper MP.
