The elected leaders of larger Mwingi have chosen to isolate the embattled Member of Parliament for Mwingi Central (MP) Mulyungi and instead pledged their support to Governor Dr Julius Malombe who is doing a fantastic job.
Speaking during the grand opening of kitui agricultural show, The Mps led by Kitui women representatives hon irene Kasalu, Mp Charles Nguna, Mp Eng Nzengu pledged to work closely With Governor Dr Malombe for the sake of people.
This decision comes as a surprise considering that Mulyungi is also an elected representative and should ideally have the support of his fellow leaders, however Mulyungi’s decision to attack the leadership of Governor Malombe has caused his rapport with his colleagues at the national level.
By pledging support to Malombe, these leaders are rooting for the unity and progress of the larger Mwingi so that the move can bring positive change to the region.
“They urged Leaders to put aside personal interests and prioritize the needs and aspirations of their constituents, this decisions aim to uphold their duty to represent and serve the people who elected them” the TCD digital reports.
politics has become entangled with personal ambitions, Mwingi central faces a fractured leadership between Governor and their Mp. The future success and development of the region depend on leaders working together and supporting each other towards a common goal, rather than undermining one another.
