Muthama Want Action Taken Against Police for brutalising MCA Mutheu


Arrest your officers who brutally injured Mlango Kubwa MCA, Hon Patricia Mutheu” -Senator Muthama to IG of Police Mutyambai

Today Hon. Sen. Johnstone Muthama held a press conference that focused on Police brutality that was witnessed yesterday at the Nairobi County Assembly grounds.

In his address Senator Muthama urged the Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai to move with speed to arrest his officers whose photos are making rounds on social media harrasing Hon Patricia Mutheu who is the MCA Mlango Kubwa ward.

“Even if the police were on a call of duty to restore calm, it was inhumane and unfortunate that they would violate the human rights of Hon. Patricia, ” said Sen. Muthama.

He also asked the government to compensate Hon. Patricia for the injuries and humiliation that she went through the hands of the rogue officers.

While on the same issue, Sen. Muthama asked the national government to hand over back the county goverment of Nairobi to Governor Mike Sonko who was duly elected by the people of Nairobi.

“Let them hand over the county to Governor Sonko who was elected by the people of Nairobi. Hata Kama ni mjinga au ako aje ni wapiga kura walimchagua. If the MCAs feel he can’t continue serving the county, then we have the law and they will impeach him then the Governor will also have a chance to defend himself, ” noted Sen. Muthama.
